Baby name posters

In 2013 I wanted to give my best friend’s baby a personal ”welcome to the world-gift” and decided to create a name poster with the baby’s name and birth date on it. I chose to draw a cute, pretty simple motive so that it wouldn’t take too much focus from the text, which is equally important from a hierarchy-perspective. Since then I’ve created a lot of these, mainly for friend’s babies, and I never get tired of it.

I always draw a motive that matches the month that the baby is born in, and choose the colors after that. Also, if I know that the parents have any specific wishes for graphics I always try to incorporate those.
